More reviews about Luca Film FX & Light Tranitions

Hi,
Steve Douglas has published a nice review about Luca Film FX & Light Transitions
on Kenstone.net site:
http://www.kenstone.net/fcp_homepage/luca_film_fx_light_douglas.html

and on lafcpug.org site:
http://www.lafcpug.org/reviews/review_luca_filmfx_douglas.html

I cannot replicate nor I have other reports of drop frame issues while playing back in RT unlimited mode at all and my render times on an identical machine is half of the one mentioned in the review, however, I much appreciate that Steve treated those as minor , almost irrelevant
aspects compared to the rest. Thank you!

Will keep you posted if even more reviews come out...really happy about the ones published so far.

On a different note.

I have to say it...
There is a great new product coming out soon,
I think you are going to love it, however, I really
have to work hard on it and on every single tiny detail
in order to meet the expectations of you lot...

Surely I will try my best!
Will keep you updated and provide more details
when these new effects I am working on are nearly ready
for you...More free stuff will come with it too , I promise ;-)

Best,
Luca

PS. Thank you to the hundreds of users who have already bought Light Kit 1.0
I am only happy to know that these 9 new GPU accelerated plugins I put together
are so much appreciated.

Luca's Light Transitions reviewed on digitalfilms.wordpress.com

A new review of "Luca Visual Fx Film and Light Transitions"
came out yesterday.

http://digitalfilms.wordpress.com/2010/04/24/luca-visual-fx-film-and-light-transitions/

The author, Oliver Peters, demonstrates many effective ways to exploit the potential of Luca's transitions.

The article includes a variety of examples and tips (complemented by visual references) for both FCP and Avid users.

Tests were also successfully performed on Adobe Premiere Pro, Motion and Adobe After Effects.

Enjoy the review,

Luca

Back with some great news!

Hi everyone,
haven't really looked after this blog as I should.
Yep, that's it...been really busy.

However I thought I should add a new post now that a new product of mine is out
(MORE exciting plugins coming out in April, stay tuned!).

I have developed some new light transitions, mainly camera light leaks.
These are inexpensive but effective, ready to use clips with straight alpha channel
reproducing a variety of film fx and free style quick transitions.

All you need to know about these new transitions can be found here:

www.lucavisualfx.com

After the first 15 days the response has been amazing,
the site has already received thousands of visits
The demo clips (watermarked) can be downloaded from Apple downloads too:

More than 600 Web Site visits in less than a day

Dear  all,

Just a quick one to inform you that today,
March 12 2009, Luca's Plugins website, after being mentioned in some posts on Apple FCP and other few forums (posts by Ian Brown and J S Langham)  was visited by more than 600 users around the world (the number is still increasing as I write) and about 630 plugs downloads were performed.

Well, that's quite something, thanks, hope you guys and girls enjoy the plugs (those who can afford a symbolic donation would help me to cover some expenses for the site and encourage me to offer new or updated free plugs), any question or if you simply wish to drop me a line email me luca@videonline.co.uk  or write here.

Off to bed now :-)
Cheers

Luca

Luca's Visual FX (Plugins and more)

(Info added in March 2010)

Hello everyone,
come and read the latest news HERE

--------------------

(Message updated in March 2009)

Hello everyone,
welcome to LucasPlugins blog.

I am currently working on some plugins and I am happy to make some available and for free.
Luca's Dual Flicker was my first plug (November 2008).

New plugs are now being added to the site mentioned
at the bottom of this message (the site became available for a few
friends a few weeks ago but now is open to everyone).

Please post your comments and suggestions as they will
help me to improve the plugs and create new ones.

Can't wait to hear from ya all!

Luca
